Start where you are
Launching a product or building a business is rarely straightforward, and it’s hard to know what you need, let alone what it should cost. Advising founders since 2023. I’ve built a pricing model that lets you start small and scale up as you learn.
Have a quick question? Book a session. Not sure what you need? Start with a Diagnostic Plan. Need something bigger or ongoing? We’ll build it together.
You focus on growing your business. Leave the technical details to nerds like me
Service Options
-
Focused questions, second opinions, and early decisions, such as: Is this realistic to manufacture?
What should I prepare before approaching a co-manufacturer?
Why is my beverage separating? Paid at booking.
-
The hardest part of a technical problem is often knowing exactly what you’re solving. I take what you know, about your product, your process, and the problem as you see it, dig into it, and give you back a clear plan: what the problem really is, what needs to be done and in what order, how long it should take, and what it should cost.
The plan is yours to keep and use: share it with your team or investors, or put it to work yourself. If we work together, the full $500 goes toward the project. -
A block of my time for whatever moves your project forward. Unlike a one-off session, most of the value here is the work I do between meetings: market and literature research, vendor quotes and pricing, equipment recommendations, product evaluations, team training, and whatever else your project needs. You get the results as reports, spreadsheets, and clear recommendations you can act on.
$1,000: 6 hours
$2,000: 12 hours
$4,000: 24 hours
Paid up front and scheduled flexibly around both our calendars. Unused hours roll over once, into the following month. Repeat clients get scheduling priority, and 3-month commitments receive a discount. I take on a limited number of support clients each month, so spots are first come, first served.
Work is remote. Products or materials that need to be purchased or shipped are billed at cost.
-
Clear deliverables, a fixed price, and a defined timeline, scoped from a Diagnostic Plan.
Small: $1,000–5,000, 1–3 weeks
Medium: $5,000–15,000, 3–8 weeks
Large: programs over 2 months, quoted on request
Example: designed a custom UF/DF membrane process for a high-protein dairy beverage startup.
Who I work best with
Ambitious founders and teams building something new, especially work that crosses disciplines or doesn’t have an established playbook yet.
Early-stage companies that want to get the technical foundation right before production, co-manufacturing, or fundraising.
Dairy processors and ingredient companies with a processing or formulation problem that trial and error hasn’t solved.
Teams who move with purpose. You want progress fast, but you’d rather take a deliberate step than repeat a fast wrong one.
Better served elsewhere
You need something well established done the established way. A category specialist or a traditional consulting firm can often do that for less, and for a standard problem, that’s the right call.
You need a finished answer right away and aren’t ready to hear “we need more information first.”
You need day-to-day recipe development, or a standalone food safety plan or regulatory filing.

A session is live time: you bring questions, I answer them. Monthly Support includes the work I do between meetings, such as research, vendor quotes, evaluations, and reports.
-
Yes. The listed rates are for startups and early-stage companies. Work for established companies is scoped and quoted by project.
-
Describe your question when you book. If it’s clearly outside my expertise, I’ll let you know before the session and refund it in full. Either way, I’m glad to suggest someone better suited when I can.
-
Yes, with 24 hours’ notice.

Sessions, Diagnostic Plans, Monthly Support, and projects up to $5,000 are paid in full up front. Larger projects start with a 10% deposit, with the balance due at completion or in installments, depending on the project’s timeline. We agree on the schedule in your project plan. Zelle, card, or ACH.
